Re: Interior Wall Paneling
Couple problems with pics. We have a new Mac and I don't know how to do pics yet on this thing. I'm sure it's simple, just haven't ventured down that road yet. Second problem is my `69 is still waiting for paint. Paneling is for my Sons `72 shorty which is really coming along. Got married in June so the 2nd Gen is in limbo but not for too much longer. Thanks for the leads guys.

Re: Interior Wall Paneling
the only problem with today paneling is it is made different that real wood paneling from the old days.
The old stuff was made like ply wood is today ,with a pattern applied to the outer surface.
the new stuff is more like a particle board made out of a very fine material that is glued together.,with a huge decal of sorts applied to the outer surface.
Moisture and vibrations is harder on this type of paneling.
Glad to hear you are getting back to your project........

Re: Interior Wall Paneling
I put Diamond plate panels in my Sportvan and used Hardboard as backing with 3M-90 spray adhesive gluing them together. Worked great and no rattles!

Re: Interior Wall Paneling
Another thing to research is Luan plywood.
It's used a lot for teardrop trailers and hot rod interior panels.
It doesn't have the old school patterns and designs of the 70s, but can be used for a backing.
It also has a bad name in "Green" circles, since it is made from rain forest trees.
The quality varies greatly too.
