    got a leaking forward pinion seal on the 7.5" rear end. any tips on replacing it? do you need a crush sleve or is it just replace the seal?? thanks guys

    Im not specifically familiar with the 7.5 unit but on any Ive ever done you just mark the nut before you take it off and put it right back where it was...Its not the most technical way to do it but if you overtighten that nut then it will burn the bearings up .....and if too loose it will wind up howling as the gears don't mesh right....And if you overtighten it and then loosen it back up you would have to put in a new crush sleeve...Jmho good luck
