Old step van? Empty Old step van?

Post by DanTheVanMan Wed Jan 06, 2010 2:49 pm

Can anyone tell my anything about this van? Found it yesterday on my way to the JY.
Wondering if it's worth looking into.. It's a short van with only about a 110" (ish) wheelbase.

Looks like a 65-66 Grumann body step van , but the body style didn't change that much over the years so it could be much newer. They used the Grumann body for all three makes of motors.

shake, rattle and roll, use to drive some of these back in the seventies i liked the ones with the roll up doors, with both side doors open you have free a/c. drove one that they put a 350 w/ 4 barrel on and of course no pollution junk added. it would fly. this one would make a great camper.

Chris, you were right. I stopped and looked at it again on my way to the Gun Show in jacksonville today. Grumann it is with a Ford L6. Still think its cool because of how short it is!

And dig those American Racing wheels! cheers

I have a 87 chevy with a 10ft (behind seats) gruman body. absolutely love it. Worked out of a van for 30 yrs. Can not believe I never got one before this. The short ones are great, drive nice and can fit in a parking spot. If you can get it, Do it.

Yeh . . . I've got a soft spot for "cool" too! Here's one I picked up last year. It's somewhere on my 'round-tuit' list. Smile
