wheels and whitewalls Empty wheels and whitewalls

for me i like the steel wheel / dogdish or baby moon - or i always wanted to go find an older 40s/50s style cap to fit the stock wheel - if i was going to spend money on wheels it would be for something like this - http://www.thewheelsmith.net/1947-52_Chevy_Pickup_Cap.html - of course they dont list a dodge version - i actually did call just to see if they made these for front wheel drive cars - a set of these on my daily driver 01 chevy prizm - thats what im talking about!!! - anyways they dont make them for my car - i also like whitewalls - not the big ones for my van or car - although i found this amusing -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkcm3rh60p0 - anyways off van topic now - this summer i had a set of whitewalls picked out at sears - it was a bf goodrich tire and actually i already had them on my car in a black wall - they are now 4 years old and time to replace - so i go in the other day and of course they stopped production on that tire - the only other white wall in my size 185-14" either 65 or 70 is a bridgestone - and its more a white stripe - i hate to be picky but when you know what you want you know what you want - and a 7/16" stripe is not a 3/4 or 1" whitewall - believe me i know my taste is a little different - try going in a tire store and asking for whitewalls these days - i got some funny looks and one guy asked even had to ask why do you want whitewalls? - i dont really like the big wheel low profile tire thing and i also like to wear plain jeans like levis that dont hang halfway down my arse - sorry got a little off tangent there - i checked some other tire stores and the bridgestone is the only thing i have found in my size with any kind of white - yes i am disappointed - oo3

Actually the grinding your own whitewalls does work pretty good. A few hrs work and you have a decent set of wide whites.
