Re: Cool 1973 Ford concept
Neat truck. But it looks like a dadge style than a Ford. Would be nice to see one. Is there any other info about the truck. What engine, what parts they built that after. The seats look Mustang/ Maverick. The rest I could not identify.

Re: Cool 1973 Ford concept
The sad thing a lot of the automakers destroyed the concept cars. The odd one shows up in some salvage yard that they tucked away in the corner out of sight. But for the most part they were sold or given to the wreckers to scrap and that is what happened to most.

Re: Cool 1973 Ford concept
I know that GM saved many of them and they store them all in one building. They don't let the public in but have seen pictures of inside. They still have the Electro Van

Ford does the same thing. They have many cars stored away - not sure about that 73' Explorer P/U - but they do keep certain cars 'some one' deems to be special.

Detroit, MI. Got to walk thru one of their warehouses a few years ago. It'll baffle the mind. They've even put a few out on loan to museums over the years. Ford brought out the 1962 Mustang Prototype to Nashville, TN in 2004 .. and whole bunch of them out last April for the 45th anniv of the Mustang in B'ham, Alabama.

My father worked at the GM proving grounds for..... ever! I got a tour of the building some time ago and it is amazing! There are several floors and one was the "Concept" level. Strictly "Off Limits"... I always imagined what was behind those doors!
