i sent an email to gear vendors to see if an o.d unit could be added to my 67 108 230 3 spd. i want to keep the 3 on the tree and not go with an auto o.d. i sent pics so they could see how the tranny is mounted at the tail. the guy i talked to said he thought it could be done so i guess we will see. will keep you all posted.

If you are dealing with the shop on Magnolia Ave in El Cajon, Ca, that is in my area,,,,,,,,I got your type of 3 speed trans in my 65,,,,,,,I could cruise over there and let them see it,,,,,,,,,,,,,

cool thanks donivan. ive used them 4 times no problems, they hold up great. they claim to be able to handle 1000hp, the last one iused was behind a huge block and put down 1234 at the wheel and 1360tq in a 68 caprice and it hasnt failed yet.

Re: gear vendors o.d unit.
gv has a unit that fits our vans ( kinda ). you have to make a crossmember for it due to our trans mount and hang it out back, then do the drive shaft. he said it would give a nice split gear between 2nd and 3rd and drop highway rpm by 550. just there kit is 2995.00 . lots of dough just to keep the 3spd. i think i will just leave it alone.
