nah i quit at 55.00 it went for like 112 bucks it was a carter. im watching a carb for 75-78 250 with elect choke 99bucks, i like elect choke i just wonder how the later model will run on my 230.

That was a Rochester B carb,,,,,,those carbs that sit for 40 years have a tendency to dry out the rubber parts and then the new, improved, mixtures of gas finishes it off and you still end up putting a kit in it,,,,,,,what is on yours right now,,,,,probably a Rochester Monojet,,,,,,,is it a manual choke? Whats wrong with it? Peoples seem to like the Monojets with the automatic choke that sits on the exhaust manifold next to the temp sending unit,,,,,,,,

its a monojet man choke,has had a kit by p.o. but the shaft has some play it might be ok, im not sure how much play is ok.
