engine removal

I always pull through the pass front door,
unless I`m doing it at work then it goes out
the bottom, got a lift there, falls out really
nice, just a lot of weight on a tranny jack, and
must ahave aballance grasshopper.

Am I understanding you correctly. You have to completely take the tranny out to pull the motor out the top?

Oh I'm sure that's not the case. From the looks of it you'd have to remove the radiator (plus fiddly bits), pull off the engine to the front - if there are alignment dowels - and pull the engine.

you leave the trans hanging by its mount
and support it at the bellhousing with a
jack or jack stand and pull the motor with
out the trans, a jack at the trans works the
best, you can adjust the hight as needed,
can`t do that with a j-stand.
