I'm looking for any infomation/resources on chopping a 67 A108. i.e. cut locations, dimensions , how much can it be chopped, any issues encountered, etc. I wasn't sure I was going to chop but think it's the way to go.

Re: chop chop chop
I know Superbeast on Vannin.com was working on an A100 angle chop, but an injury has put the project on hold...

Re: chop chop chop
here is a load of pics when i chopped a chevy
maybe they'll help some
i took 5 inches out in a "section chop"
and replaced the entire roof with a level one from a ford
shaved side doors, 4 diff doors made up the rear door
and a dodge a-100 dog house

Re: chop chop chop
LF thanks for the pic's, inspiring, van looks great, I deffinatly have to chop this van now. Did you have to lower the seats with a 5" chop, , I was thinking arounds 4"s.

Re: chop chop chop
i planned on only 4 inches at first
then i got geometry class by my early in progress
so it ended up at 5" after i learned
the seat rails i did indent into the tops of the wheel wells 1"
(just 2 cuts to each wheel well a little longer than the sliders and as wide,
leaving each end still attached to the van, tapped the strip in and used a strip of metal along each side of the strip to create the "trench" for the outboard slider mounts) WORKED GREAT!
and used the original seat tracks from the 914 recaro seats from a 914
couldn't have planned a better fit IMO i'm 6'2 and had zero problems getting in/out or comfy, could have gone another inch lower on the seat "trenches" but the seats would have sat too low i believe and interfered with the sides of the seats sitting too low is also something to consider

Re: chop chop chop
here is what i was talking about on the seat mounts
i couldn't go lower or further back without interfering with the shock mount
but there was plenty of "slide" to position the seat plenty far back,
it really was like these seats were made for this chop
