    IT's ALIVE! Empty IT's ALIVE!

I had the powerglide rebuilt, new brake lines and hoses installed, the back axle opened up and new grease with and new gasket, and had a handle installed on the parking brake lever that was missing. The 307 V8 pulls great. Next, the windshield is ordered, and flowmaster twin exhaust is going on. After two years sitting in the garage, I get to drive it now. My 2007 Malibu company car can sit outside.

    It's only money right?

    IT's ALIVE! Empty What's next?

I need to get some insulation in the engine bay. That thing is hot. Its like I tell my wife, it depends how much money I have--meaning I need more.
I need new shocks, probably newly made leaf springs, I'd like power brakes, power steering, maybe vintage air, it needs some body work and new door seals, the drivers side front fender is a bit crumpled. New rocker panels, tons of hushmat inside, wheels and tires. It needs a different steering wheel besides the 13 inch worn rubber Grant wheel. Then paint, interior work. You know, the usual. Rolling Eyes

I thought about Baker's and how much money it would take and figured I'd rather put the bucks in my van right now. You know instead of looking at everyone elses nice vans, even though thats good too. It is getting fun now. I'll be going to some events eventually.

Matt I know you'll be at Bakers someday, but in the mean time your thoughts are right put your dollars where you need them. Instead of all new springs maybe you can get away with just adding a new leaf all the way around. Take it to a spring shop to know for sure. There are some ebay stores that sell heat mat at a decent price. Another thing check local swap meets for used parts to save money (sometimes they are new parts)
