There is a small clip of an orange A-100 pickup in the film documentry Dogtown and Z boys. Awesome video if you are into early skateboarding and surfing.

I believe it is in "Airport '75"? The one where the 747 lands in the water and sinks. Shocked
The Sea-Bee's rescue team is getting their equipment loaded up. You will see one of the group of Yellow A-100 Pickups we built for the US Navy in summer and fall of 1971 with no roof or doors cranking along the Tarmac. Pretty clear shot though. Check it out.
They also had that sticker on them, similar to the Hemi Darts, Hemi Barracudas and factory race cars of that era, about the vehicle did not comform to USDOT specifications and was not for use on US Highways.
The new B-Van was in production when this order came up out of nowhere. Navy buddy of mine said he saw a few in Nam too just before we left. Says he swears there were a couple Ford E-100's like this too.
They were all built at the Warren, Michigan - Dodge Truck - Compact building.
Came through with no glass, no doors and an elbow high net across the door opening. Don't see THAT in the movie though.
Was a real bitch to road test those in the cold Nov - Dec of '71.
They had 2V-318's with 727 and 3.91 posi rear gears. Man, they were quick. What a Face
The roofs were removed at the KDX Building just before shipping.
