Re: Inside floor finish
I first cleaned up all rust spots and used an etching primer and then cheap white spray paint...
I then did three thick coats of white elastomeric roof coating to get a textured surface like bed liner paint...
I got "Black Jack" brand from the roofing dept at Lowes.... About $65 for five gallons...It's hard to the touch and paintable, but is actually a tough flexible membrane that fills and sticks in cracks and voids and cuts harmonics and heat some....It is water-cleanup, but should not be painted directly on top of rust unless you want to see red-orange blotches in those spots...
The paint dept can tint the elastomeric products any color you want...
Once the stuff dries, it is well bonded to the surface, which is protected from all future moisture... The stuff is made to coat and seal mobile home roofs in the southwest, so it loves heat..... I may paint the roof of my van with the stuff! Five gallons goes a long way!
