    Just a simple do it your selfer, some plugs, wires, rotor and cap.

    The thing is, they were all real bad, so I assumed when I replaced them, (looked terrible) that the van would run a lot better, but....it runs even worse????

    What are your thoughts, what do you think it could be then?

    Do you still have points, have you run a compression test,,,,,if you got a 6 cylinder, did you put the wires back in the 1,,5,,,3,,,6,,,2,,,4 firing order,,,, like how many miles on that engine,,,,where you located?

    Bad gas in the tank?
    Loose wiring around the engine?
    Fuel pump blocked?
    Carburettor needle valve stuck (if fitted) ?
    Choke manually stuck part way?

    There are a lot of things it could be.

    Dis you replace points and condenser? Did you check points gap with a dwell meter? Check Timing with a light? Assure no vacuum leaks? Check vacuum advance operation and for diaphragm leaks? Choke operation? Fuel filter(s)? air filter? Timing chain lash?
    It would help if you would describe symptoms...
