I just had a friend of mine send me a pic of the breather he pulled from a similar engine in one of his vans (A100). So it looks like the breather I need does not have a port to connect to a port on the air cleaner (my air cleaner pan doesn't have a port).

i didn't have the photo. but that's correct. altho it should have a oil bath air filter if you are doing a period correct. build

Just to give you food for thought... Unless you are doing a 100 percent restoration I would run an air cleaner with a connection for the valve cover.
Since you are running a PCV (a good thing) you will be pulling air into you engine through the breather how it is stock. Using an air cleaner to filter the air going into the engine will filter out dirt, dust, sand, more efficiently than a breather can. It has more surface area and a better filtering media, that's why more modern engines went to that setup.
It's one of the reasons that early engines had to get oil changes more frequently and did not last as long before having to be rebuilt.
Just my opinion...
