Did you make the split front bumper yourself?

Re: AzDon's 108 ready to roll
Yes I did!..... The center section of the bumper was bent and twisted, but the ends were good and I didn't like that the ends stick way out.....
The top inside bolt hole on each side was originally the outer top hole and the other two bolt holes of the triangle were newly drilled
This moved the ends inward by the amount of spacing between the two top holes (5 inches?)
I have a perfect rear painted bumper that I may modify like this also.....

Re: AzDon's 108 ready to roll
As in any build, I soon found a couple of issues that needed to be addressed once I started driving the van...
I started my test drives in late September before the weather fully cooled and I discovered that the percentage of coolant out of the engine being cooled was not enough in proportion to the coolant being heated at any given moment.....The coolant would continue getting hotter even though I was running the fan non-stop....The first two mods I tried were a locked fan clutch on my engine-mounted fan and cutting the initial timing back 6 degrees.... Neither helped...
Next, I purchased a small Honda Civic aluminum radiator which I mounted ahead of the main radiator and put a 12 inch pusher fan on it.......adding about a gallon of coolant being cooled and plumbing it to the engine using the heater hose ports.....
By the time I was ready to test drive again, fall weather had cooled the weather drastically, but I am now able to run without the electric fans going and it has yet to reach 165 degrees....
I'm still going to mount a stacked-plate trans cooler with it's own fan under the rear floor to remove trans heat from the radiator.....
Another issue I've confirmed is that I will have to run with air in the front air shocks in order to keep from scraping the ground on every blip and dip.... I'm having issues getting the air system to hold air, but I will eventually win!....
I forgot to take pictures of the fab work that the second radiator required (Doh!) Guess everybody will have to trust that I did it to the same quality standards as every other fab project on this van!
Got a choice of two car shows next Saturday.....

Re: AzDon's 108 ready to roll
And my new Intellitronix speedometer won't work with my factory 91 GM VSS system.... I'm going to need to get a JTR Stealth factory GM VSS that also allows for the use of a cable hookup to run the Intellitronix VSS in tandem with the factory VSS...

Re: AzDon's 108 ready to roll
Welllll....
It drives awesome uo to 45mph..... okay, it drives like a straight-axle truck....Its got some bump-steer that will take major engineering and fab to get rid of...
I guess I'll start by installing some steering stabilizer shocks...
