I purchased an unfinished project from my buddy. It runs but does not drive because it has no shifter or linkage. It has a custom raised console that is about knee high where I would like to mount a floor shifter. I am thinking of the short shifter by B&M for a fox body Mustang. Is there other options that people like it to use? I want it to have a short shaft. I also can't seem to find shifter linkage/cable that is long enough to reach the trans from the front. Am I overthinking this? Seems this 302/AOD is a common swap and these parts would be pretty common. What is the go to parts store for these early Econoline? Plan on seeing my on here often as I can't wait to get it on the road. Here is a couple pics. Thank you for any help and suggestions.

Nice looking van. I did the same engine/trans swap in my 65. I used a Lokar floor shifter for mine. For the trans shift cable I could not find one at the right length so I connected 2 4ft cables I had laying around. My other option was going to be a custom made cable. I am also using the Lokar kit to dial in the TV adjustment.
