Post by lboast Sat Feb 13, 2021 2:29 pm

I am in need of a brake light switch for my 1969 A-108. It is the larger style (I believe 3/4 inch thread) size, with the 2 spade terminals on the end, where a molded electrical plug connects them. The Dodge part number on it is 2824550 95010, if that helps identify it.

I looked up the NAPA switch you recommended, and it looks like it could work, but it does not show the weatherproof rubber boot on the end. since this switch sits outside just behind the grill on the frame, i believe the road debris and rain would shorten its life. i had trouble finding the gp sorenson sls62 switch online.

I used a non-protected replacement, as my switch was broken as well.

SO far, it held up pretty good. Although my truck rarely sees any moisture at all.
And road debris - if you're not planning an off road trip I'd think it's ok. Perhabs you can use at least some shrink-insulator for the cable side (which is most exposed).

Yes "69" I agree with you. The switch is a little expensive, and the shipping is WAY too much. Almost as much as the switch.

Thanks Gary. I missed the international shipping part.
Today I talked to Wildcat Auto Wrecking in Oregon, they said they would send me one with the correct part number for $45.00 Including shipping. I hope to see it before Monday.
