My truck has been disassembled for such a long time and until recently, on a rotisserie. I’m now slowly reassembling. It’s been so long and I’ve forgotten the size of the fuel line from the tank to the fuel pump and which side of the truck it ran along. Can someone set me straight? I’m also considering an electric fuel pump, any negative thoughts on this?

Re: Routing fuel line
Keith is right. I'd prefer mechanical pump as well. With an electrical, you might need to install a pressure limiter (depending on pump pressure).
I found my fuel filter pretty close to the exhaust manifold (might be worth relocating), basically straight below the passenger (on the undercarriage).
