Here is the 1964 Econoline Travelwagon that I brought home a year and a half ago. Just like the photo shows: in primer, apart, and not running. Usually three red flags for me but I bought it anyway because this van is rust free!
I've always been fascinated by these vans and the pop-up roof sealed the deal. All the camper stuff is gone- no biggie; I can still camp without it.

That's an awesome base to start with! Congrats and please keep posting updates and pics...we love to see others bitten by the bug and seeing other vanner's visions for their vehicles! I saw one like yours being used as a hot dog truck...looked really sharp too!

Thanks Vanny, I'm still figuring out the site and will post up the progress on the van. Also, thanks for posting all the E-vans for sale, I enjoy seeing what is out there and how they compare to my purchase.

I forgot about my posting in the camper section, so maybe I'll double post here just to be consistent with the camper related topics. I found a rusty surprise under the camper top and had to take the top off. It wasn't a lot of fun but it was the right thing to do in order to repair properly.

I posted this in the member's showcase section, but because this is camper related I'll add it here and include additional pictures.

Wow, it's been almost a year since I updated this.

I spent a little weekend time tying up some loose ends on the van. Got the dome light purchased at the van show refurbished, installed and working. The white lens is eggshell fragile, but these are shared by other old Fords and is an inexpensive part. Also put the LED lights in the cabin fixtures and wired them up too. These have been on my list for a long time.

I also got a small tach to install in the van; not that I needed one but it will come in handy and accompany the next planned upgrade- the transmission. The jeep project needs to get to a certain point and then the van can take the prime spot in the shop over the winter.
