Hi there,
This is my first time posting so bare with me. I would just like to say thanks for such a wonderful site. I would like to post a few pics of my "BARN FIND". It is a 1961 Ford Econoline Travelwagon conversion. This van has been in a barn since 1973. It has been almost 40 years since it has seen daylight. The van was used has a movie prop in the late 60's and early 70's so I was told by the person who was storing it in his barn for the past 40 years. I purchased the van this past summer and had to move out eight other movie vehicles to get at it. It was stuffed full of bicycles that were also movie props. The van was completely untouched, missing only the proper ford hubcaps, the spare tire and a couple of the bed poles. It only has about 30,000 miles on it, the motor feels stuck but I have not had any time to try and free it yet. Surprisingly it has no rust any where which is hard to believe, because we live just outside of Toronto Ontario Canada, pretty much everything here made from steel will rust out eventually. The camper still sports its original stove, ice box and groovy 60's red carpets. When I purchased the van it was missing the ownership/title but the current owner did all the hard leg work and was able to gather one up from our local D.M.V. The best thing of all was the price $500.00/Canadian funds.
Thanks again,
Jason Phillips
