The VIN tag on the door is missing (maybe the door has changed) I would like to find other places the VIN will be located. Any help would be appreciated

I'm not sure where they are on the 69's. On the 1st Gens (61-67), besides the door tag, they can be found on the spare tire brace in the rear passenger's side. If you have a spare tire bracket in the back, you can check for a stamped VIN number. Someone else here might be more familiar with the 2nd Gens. Good Luck.

thank you. This one is camper conversation E100 with a pop top. The spare is mounted on the rear door. It is really important I can find the VIN.

I just found a couple of pictures online that were taken from Fordification.com site...
Hope these help...
This site is for the 61-67 Econos, since no one has jumpedin yet, you might want to check with this group on FB that is for 2nd Gen Econos; https://www.facebook.com/groups/508743179284664

Thank you. The problem is the 1969 E100 sits on the top of the frame. People from the face book site have pointed me to door jams, voltage regular but with no luck. Its a mystery on this van

There's no way to see the spot under the alternator on the frame? From the pic, it looks like there would be some access to it and if it could be cleaned off with a wire brush, maybe you could read it with a mirror or snap a pic with the phone camera and then zoom in to read it? Just spitballing ... If you were close by, I'd come take a look...Let me know how you end up making out with it...you're experience might help someone else out in the future.
