Re: 2 Door Straps Wanted
Have them made from proper (extreme duty) fabric. Over here, we still have some (very few) cobbler / shoe maker - they have the right equipment (heavy duty sewing machine) to make it.
I had them done by my mom, being a tailor with a medium duty sewing machine, but she said, a shoe maker has a better sewing machine to use very strong twine to match the original.

Re: 2 Door Straps Wanted
I just bought a roll of some strapping in the width and color I wanted, from a fabric store. I cut it to length of the widest opening that I wanted, then heated the ends. I just ran it through the metal bracket and tied off both ends. That way, I can re-tie it at a shorter length if I want the door to open less. I like the utility of being able to open the front doors wide open at times, like when working while laying on the front floor. It's not fancy but I think it looks ok and it's a lot simpler.
