1st Gen 64’ Wheel and Tire fitment

The tires I’d like to use on my 1st gen.64’ are
rear 295/50-15. Front 235/60-15
What I need to know is what wheel width and backspacing
I can use on the front and rear without any rubbing.
Your help is greatly appreciated to get my van rolling again

235's are gonna rub....others have massaged the front(most) bottom wheel well corner inward to clear (I haven't). Wait till one of those folks chime-in here for specifics. 295's are gonna stick-out without flares. I'd check with the local cops/DOT to make sure they're not gonna hassle you about it (if you like the look).

If you gotta use 15s in the front.....I don't suggest over 7".... for tires, either 205/70/ 15 or 215/65/15...…… In a 14, you can do 225/60 or even 235/60...
