thought i might just post some pics on repairing the ws post on these a100. what causes now these to leak is there is a seam about 2" up on the post that overlaps.water runs down from the top into this seam and starts rusting. if they would of over lap the other way it would of never leaked.

first thing look at your post on the inside door jam. most of the insides are fine . so theres no need to cut the whole post out. as you can see there are 3 layers in the post and if you just whack the post, you wont be able to weld the inner.

first thing,i believe that vans have wiring running in the left ws post. you will need to unplug that, before pulling it out the bottom ,tie a piece of baling wire to it so later it will help you pull it back thru.

now cut a inch or 2 of the rusted metal away with a 4" cutoff wheel

have to stop and learn how to post pics,i'll be back.......

I'll be interested to see what you've done! My drivers side A pillar is in bad shape. The passenger side isn't too much better.
