As it has no switch for the backup lights, it has to be post mid/end 68 model year. They switched from simple neutral safety switch-only (single contact at the trans) to nss including backup light (triple contact at the trans) somewhen mid 1968, if my grey matter remembers correctly (same as for passenger cars with TF727).
There should be no difference between six & eight cyl,as both had the load flite (a.k.a. TF727).
But a microswitch can easily be added to be used for earlier models. Did that myself, as my nss (actually, the comb inside the trans) is not properly adjusted.
