parking brake cables 66 g 10

Hello Gentlemen and Ladies that may participate! Can anyone advise on parking brake cables for a 66 Chevy g 10?  I have found many threads on the 66-70...but am struggling with the 1st generation part.  Additionally I have spoken with Greg at Bruin...but he has no specs on the 66 either.  Will the 66-70 fit the the 66 drums?  correct length and all that as well??  Any help is appreciated!

64 -66 are 1st Gens, 67-70 are 2nd Gens,,,,,the left and right cables are different lengths,,,,but all the Gens probably are the same,,,,,I think when you have a 108 longer wheel base 2nd Gen, they might just add an extension to the front cable,,,,what problems are you having,,,,,

Hey Donivan, thanks for the response. My buddy broke the clips off the cables that secures them into the hubs. I tried welding the washer...but it broke off when I pulled the brake on to test it. So then I welded a bigger deeper spot and melted the cable tip! So, what I need is some new cables. If you think the 2nd generation will fit the first, I 'll give it a shot. I've seen those on ebay...and will certainly report back if all that will fly. Maybe helpful to someone else in the future.

The 1st Gen part numbers are left-GM 3868061 and right-GM 3868062,,,,,those 2nd Gens might not work,,,,,
