    Hey guys, I had a new stereo installed in my 65 sportsvan, I can only get one channel in. The installer said it is the stock antenna, has anyone had this problem ?

    If so, is there a replacement antenna I can install to receive local radio stations ?

    I PUT THE ONE THAT STICKS TO THE IN SIDE OF THE WINDSHELD AN IT WORKS GREAT

    If you're going the remote antenna route don't cheap out for something off ebay. Make sure you get one that has a good power amplifier otherwise your reception will be shit.

    I was able to use the original antenna, I wrapped some thermostat wire around the ground wire on the antenna, I then stuck a 14/2 wire in the antenna tube wrapping the positive wire around it. I then inserted that into the new stereo antenna cable and magic happened...
