Door hinge pin question Empty Door hinge pin question

What is the best way to remove the pins in the door hinge ? I’m pretty sure mine has been in there since 1961 . The guy that’s doing my van says that he can’t get them out . So I’m going to try . Any advice would be appreciated. Also is there any aftermarket hinges for it ?

I used a big hammer and a punch. However, there are tools available, like this one (which I haven't used personally) hinge pin tool

Looks like the Eastwood tool and another from Bob Drake are both listed as out of stock.... Crying or Very sad

I did grind mine down until the head was gone, then you can punch it out from the top

One of my doors has a sloppy hinge and I looked into replacing it. As far as I found, there are no aftermarket hinges. But you can buy new pins. I bought a pair of standard size ones and a pair of oversized ones. My plan was to get mine out and assess the situation, whether to oversize or use original with a sleeve...never got around to doing it though because it's on the least used door, the back right door.
