I was able to get some new brackets from eBay a while back and I recently found some seats with the seat brackets. The one bracket that was still attached is the driver side rear bracket, so I know where that original location is. I welded in the front bracket on the driver side put in the seat and things are fine.
I then welded in the rear bracket for the passenger side putting it in the same location as the drivers side bracket (with in a 1/4 inch or so). I put the seat in the passenger side to line up the front bracket and the passenger seat is hitting the breather on the engine.
Doesn't the passenger seat brackets go in the same location on the wheel well as the driver side?
BTW... When I say I welded it in I mean I welded all the way around it as it will take hours of grinding to get that sucker out.
