I had this brought home a couple of weeks ago, a 1969 A-108 Custom Sportsman with a 318 automatic. To my surprise the original order sheet was still in the glove box. I have to say this is probably the cleanest, rust free, straight body van I've ever seen in person. While it's not currently running, I don't it will take much for that to happen. It's been off the road since 2005. Happy to see that all the interior side and roof panels are still intact. This had factory A/C but the condenser on the roof is missing. I believe I would be the 3rd owner. New project 69 A108 Custom Sportsman 69_a1010

My plans for it: Just get it running and keep it original. I don't think I'd even repaint it.

Here are the order sheets for the van and a small pamphlet for the A/C system. Might be useful to anyone who wants to decode the options on their van.

Wow, congrats on finding a Really Nice A108 solid, clean van!!! Really cool having those original build sheets too. You've got a great base to start with. Just get it running and stopping and enjoy the heck out of it! Looks like it was well taken care of for most of it's life. Now you just need to bring it back to life! cheers

Thanks vanny. I know there are a lot of people out there who have put a lot of hard work into their vans, trying to find parts, repairing rust, etc. and I feel really lucky to have this one. The rear bumper is bent outwards a little but on the flip side, it's a rust free bumper with clean chrome that can be straightened out.

I found it about 10 miles from my house. It was on craigslist for a very short time, I called right away and went the next day with money in hand. The price was very reasonable.

SCORE!!! Twisted Evil That's the way to do it. If you see something that looks good, move quick and get there with cash just like you did. You can always walk away if it's not as represented but the Good deals go really quick. Nice job vanman!

What a great find and great valuable original pictures. For someone who restored my Challenger, I relied on good original pictures, one expecialy from Mopar Muscle with an original 1970 RT with 1,200 original miles. Thanks for sharing from one who is getting ready to dive into a '68 A100.
