Are you sticking with the original drum brakes? If so, all the little stuff is readily available from most auto parts stores, the drums themselves interchange with a few other models/yrs. (like Nova's).

Hey Malle, so what kind of Auto Parts Stores are there in Norway? And what are the most common brands of vehicles around you. Are there many American cars around there???

Yeah........I just heard the old shoe rivet to metal sound the other day.

Stopped at ADVANCE AUTO and asked for 1967 G10 front brake shoes.

LIKE MAGIC.........IN STOCK........$24.99 + $5.00 core for very nice & thick riveted shoes.

    Doing that chore this afternoon.

THIS IS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT CHEVY! Smile

Did my 64 Econoline brakes couple months ago..........had to search......one high end auto parts place could order them.........took 3 days and cost $29.00 for bonded shoes for the front of the Ford.

Now if you are searching for parts that will work,,,,go to this site,,,,you might need a zipcode to get in,,,,use mine 92065,,,,,,,you put in your vehicle information,,,,,you find the part, AND THEN,,,,,click on that SEE WHAT OTHER VEHICLE THIS PART FITS,,,,,now there you go,,,,,,you can see how popular the part is or if it is just one of a kind,,,,,,I guess you could also order the parts online from AutoZone.com This site is http://shop.oreillyauto.com/Default.aspx
