Tires, What works for you? Empty Tires, What works for you?

What type of tires are you running? How do they last, drive etc.?
I did a search for "Tires" and did not find any real info on what type of tires work well on our Vans.
I have 15x6" wheels all around running 215/70r/15 tires, Yokohama Avid touring S.

I'm thinking of getting some BF Goodrich T/A Radial's the same size.

I would like to know what you run and how you like them, how they drive, how they wear etc.
I had 60's before the 70's and it is much easier to steer with the 70's, 78's steer easier but I like the width of the 70's.

    I guess I should ad it's a '66 Chevy 90" Sportvan Deluxe

Running 15X7 wheels all around with BFG TA's. 2,000 miles on them with good/great wear so far. Fair weather cruising on two-lane roads (411 rear). Rides and steers awesome despite original spring hardware/bushings!

    215 front
    255 rear

When I got home from Home depot I found this, still holding air but my tread is getting thin anyway.

The Cooper Cobra Radial is a good alternative to BFG Radial T/A. Less pricey and has a good treadwear rating. I currently run these cooper tires and I'm very pleased with how they handle. They are quite good on wet pavement also.

At least it's got a washer to help hold in the air...a friend who drives a 66 GMC is running Cooper Cobras as well and tells me they wear and handle very well. Less expensive than the BF's and good wear...
