worked on my 1974
last weekend I pulled off carb too rebuild it when I got van the seller told me he had someone rebuild it and do a tune up on van and he thought it had old gas in it making it pop out tail pipe I did notice right off the carb looked leaky and wet to me so I went spent 43.00 dollars at napps on carb kit,2 filters and new float. pull carb off took top off first thing I see is needle valve hanger clip laying in bottom of bowel I go through everything bolt carb back on runs bit better but still popping in tail pipe TUNE UP I REMINDE MY SELF I go through the fireing order and find # 2 & # 4 are crossed swaped them out no more popping motor runs good going too still pull intake and reseal it and drop in elc distorbtor in to

So, do you just put threaded plugs to fill those holes left by removing the emissions stuff?

so I re-adjusted the lifters re-timed and tweeked carb agin and fingers crossed still no oil leaks been about 10 days now van runs GREAT put around 100 miles on her in last week re-did frount brakes but I think I need new calpers and going to change felx lines too got too pull rear brakes apart yet and frount end is still tite too goes down rad straight

Bear's one of a kind barn find
Nice looking van, did you find it in Michigan? Just curious I lived in Midland, Michigan all my life, the last 6 years in Arizona.
