    Hello Everyone,

Nick here from Colorado.  I am the owner of a 1966 Falcon Club Wagon extended Supervan.

This is my first van and I am learning a lot.  I took the van in on trade for an old ford truck I had.  I am not 100% sure of my plans of yet, really just want to get it fully dependable so I can drive it around town and I want to get some seats for the back so I can haul my kids around with me in it.

The van has a 240 straight six, runs good, fires right up.  I'm still learning how to adjust choke correctly, I've never had a vehicle with one.  I believe the idle is a little high.  It is a three on the tree, also another adventure.  I have replaced the fuel pump, spark plugs, points, distributor, thermostat, and battery.  I eventually want to put some performance into the engine.

The steering has a lot of play, it was last plated in the early 90's so Im sure i need to go and replace all the bushings and look into the steering box.

i look forward to learning more about it and working on it.

Also, the van came with an old bench seat in the back just thrown back there.  I am not sure what it is from.  its in really good shape, any ideas what it belongs to?  I am hoping to find some original looking seats to put back there. New Guy (1966 Falcon club wagon) Clubwa10

Sorry, had to upright the pic cause it was straining my neck...vanny

Congrats and welcome to Vintage Vans! Looks like it has the interior panels still and that's a Bonus!

I'm not sure if that's an original seat but I believe they had similar looking seats originally. I think there was a narrow bench seat in the middle that attached to those cleats on the floor and then in the back by the wheel wells, they sometimes had a slightly wider seat. The narrower one sometimes had a small fold down section so that people could fold it down to get around it to the way-back with less interference.

We have some Econoline gurus on here that can jump in and correct me if I'm giving you bad information. I found a couple of pics from a member here (VanHoosierDaddies) who has a 61 club wagon. Here's the pics and I believe these are original seats before and after he had them recovered.

Those seats look great!!! id love to find some originals and have them recovered like that.

All the interior panels are intact including the headliner and all the bracing so its definitely a plus, just needs redone.

I have a set of 66 mustang seats that I am probably going to swap out the front with, at least until I can afford to get the originals recovered.

Hey! I think I recognize this seat from Floyd's Barber Shop in Mayberry.

Looks like a seat that came out of an old doctor's waiting room.

its actually a pretty cool seat, and in really good condition, just a little dusty in the picture. i haven't seen a whole lot of vans like mine in the area, however the other day I was driving I seen one sitting behind a fence at an asphalt company (they have a collection of cars in the corner of the property) I will stop one day and see what they plan on doing with it.

I wish that seat was from Mayberry, I could sell it to pay for original seats.

Besides missing the back seats its pretty complete. It sat outside since the early 90's until 2015 when I picked it up, it has some body work to do on the passenger side and the rear cab corners need replaced but nothing terrible.
