original radio value? Empty original radio value?

Post by Abitibi Sun May 08, 2016 12:09 am

Looking for input from the group.

I need an original radio for my 65 Travelwagon. Anyone has one or any idea what they are worth?

Sadly the previous owner cut a larger hole to mount a 8 track in mine, no good.

    Thanks
    David

Seems like the prices vary quite a bit from one seller to the next. I sold one on eBay a few weeks ago for $64 + shipping. That was with a $0.99 starting bid. I've seen sellers asking over $300 on eBay. If your searching eBay be sure to search under Ford bronco and truck as well. Sellers don't always list things properly to get the extra eyeballs on their listing.

I bought mine on eBay for $200. It was in very good condition and guaranteed.

    Thanks guys

I found one for $125 shipped and wasn't sure if it was reasonable or not, guess that's just average...

There is a guy on eBay who seems to refurb them and will offer a guarantee. He may be the same guy Brent bought from. He does offer some clean looking units. I don't think $200 is a bad deal in that condition and guaranteed!

Some really nice 'clones' out there that look original, but have FM, blue tooth and more. Take a
    look at "Tom's Bronco" site...

Does anyone have one of these? The video seems to show the display as digital.

I was. Thinking the same. I wonder if it's only when powered on and while off has a default "AM band" display?

Its led display. But they have these stickers to make it look original for a car show?

It would be nice to have a lever to rotate between the LED display and the old display rather than using a sticker.
