Tie rods and center tie rod bar Empty Tie rods and center tie rod bar

    Post by 68vanman Tue Feb 23, 2016 5:56 pm

I searched through this site and found the part numbers for tie rods, drag link, etc. My problem is that the center bar connecting the tie rods is bent really bad. The driver side wheel is straight, the passenger side wheel is turned all the way to the right. Does anyone know where I can pick one up? I have a 69 A100 van (Travco) with the 108" wheelbase. I thought when I bought the center/drag link it was the right part. I realized today that this part runs front to back connected to the steering arm.

    Thanks

How about put down a better location if you want to be part of our family here,,,,
IF,,,,,,the centerlink is bent,,,,,it dont really matter if  you can still adjust the toe-in correctly,,,,,its just a piece of pipe,,,,,,pull it off,,,,,beat it straight as best you can,,,,,,,

Get one made, the original stock was thin and weak, I had Ron Pope Motorsports make one, give them the length you need, tread pitch and you get a thicker stronger rod for about $65. The only other thing you will need is a pair of jam nuts, they are cheap.

Then you can go up to your profile and put down Oakland,,,,,,we like to know where our van family is in we or they, need help,,,,,,,,you can pound that one straight and slip a bigger pipe over it to reinforce it,,,,,,we give you choices,,,,,,
