It appears after 12+ yrs. of ownership and finally found out why I could never really go over 1/2 full, and with gas so cheap now I have hit the point where I have to buy less gas or fix it. I have a fine hairline crack right at the junction where the tube goes into the sender plate. I always thought that it was because of the spacer hose from the sender to the pump, which I played with to no help. What to do, what to do, ideas?

Why not? I was thinking the same, or use the good old JB on it.
