Not much to look at yet..... I'm just getting started (it took me awhile to make garage space for this project)
Anyway, I've dragged it inside and removed the back half of the doghouse, engine and transmission, linkages, radiator, eng and rad crossmembers, and throttle pedal (was frozen)

The plan is to cut the floor back another 18 inches to the rear and drop in  a TBI 305/700r4 combo out of a 91 OCC (caprice) wagon.....setting it back 18" for ease of maintenance and display....Also 323 posi out of same wagon.....
Also contemplating lowering options using the stock suspension.....
The final result I'm after is a 70's time machine showcasing modern drivetrain and engine management, along with modern electronic gadgets inside and enough deloren parts to get me back to 1976 to show off 2015 stuff to my 1976 friends!

    De-construction is so un-glamorous, but here's a few pics...

Congrats, looks like a pretty clean and solid foundation to start with!

It's got the factory cross-flow, but the factory shroud is in pretty poor condition.....My plan is to lay the radiator back at a 45 degree angle and use electric fans to move air through the radiator(s) and over the top of the engine. I may actually use two radiators to increase the ratio of liquid being cooled to liquid being heated. A/C condensor, trans cooler, and rads will each have their own fan behind and the angled array should give each a little "open air" space at the top and bottom and also allow space over the top to go up and over the engine......I also plan to lower the top of the existing front section of the box so that I can move the seats inward so I can sit centered to the steering wheel instead of against the door..... I may eventually swap in a 454
