Baker's '16

Only 22 weeks till Baker's '16! Mailings going out March 1st looking for goody bag items and prizes. If you have any prize, $, etc., to donate please send me a message. Also looking for ways to improve Baker's, if that's possible. G-Man did a GREAT job starting us off and I'm doing my best to continue in a way to make him proud. I accept all feedback. And please pass the word and let everyone know that Baker's '16 is June 26! Thanks!!!

Vanish, thank you for the kind words. I never wanted to inherit "Baker's". I loved helping G-Man and being a part of the show. But it is my honor to now run the Baker's show, thanks to what G-Man put into place. I will continue to run it for as long as possible and I do so with the help and support of many! I am already heavy into plans for this year and the letters asking for goody bag items and give-aways will be mailed soon. Once again I will leave G-Mans traditional parking spot vacant but I will place a chair there with Chris' signature "Jegs" hat on the seat. Thanks again Vanish!!!

Just yesterday I mailed 125 letters to various automotive-type companies asking for donations for goody bags and prizes. Thanks to G-Man's dedication and organization I inherited all of his information and mailing lists. With only 15 weeks till Baker's '16 I'm getting things lined up and planning as much as I can. Last years' show seemed to run rather smoothly, thanks to all of the help from friends and/or fellow vanners. If you have anything to donate to the cause please let me know. I accept any prizes, cash, parts, etc. Please pass the word and let's make this years' show another great success!!!

Kinda green to/on the site, but figuring my way around. Newbie here. Looks like some of you "VanDudes" have been doing this for awhile and have lost a few along the way. Awesome memories!

Heading down to Cleveland, Ohio, Autorama this weekend with several other Michiganders to check out the vans and vanners that will be there (50 vans rumored to be at the show). Just wanted to post a refresher! Baker's 2016 is only a few weeks away and I hope you are all making your plans to attend. And keep spreading the word. I'm hoping for, and expecting, a big turnout this year. Working hard on goody bags, prizes, awards, etc. See you all soon!!!

Very Cool! Cant' wait to see it, and you and your wife at Baker's '16. I'm meeting today with Don who does all of our vinyl work. I'm updating the banner, and ordering the award plaques. Adding a few twists to the awards this year. Should be fun. I also have T-Shirts on the way (for purchase), dash plaques (free as always) and some other goodies for purchase. Lots of raffle items and also a 50/50 so everyone please bring some cash along to make some purchases and support this event. A lot of time and money goes in to bringing you an event you'll look forward to attending year after year. Can't wait to see you all in just a couple weeks!!!!!!!!

Eleven days till Baker's 2016! Really excited and a bit nervous. Taking a couple days off next week to organize ballots, stuff goody bags, prep everything, and tally prizes. I'm looking forward to one of our best shows ever! See you soon!

Where can I find more information on the Baker's event? What is the schedule? I see a Facebook page that says 3:00-7:00, but that's a lot later than years past.

The flyer has been posted on fb several times by a few different vanners. The show is basically all day, since some of get there early to set up, but officially it's from 10:00-5:30. Baker's is at 2025 S. Milford Rd., Milford, Michigan. I hope this helps. Any other questions please let me know. Otherwise I hope to see you, and many more, on Sunday!!!
