A-100 STEERING WHEEL REMOVAL

Thanks to sweptline site for the exploded view. Use the bottom pic marked A100!

The center 'ornament' is plastic and is CAREFULLY pried off using small reliefs in the top edge of the horn ring.
Then the 3 screws and bushings are removed, allowing the ring to be removed. Also carefully remove the wire from the 'switch' and DO NOT damage the bushings, wire or the switch! These are often brittle and are NOT available easily.
Then the center nut and washer are removed. 3/4" IIRC.
Put the steering wheel in the straight ahead position.
A steering wheel puller is threaded into the 2 holes in the wheel, and the center bolt of the puller is tightened against the center steering shaft. This 'pops' the steering wheel loose from the splines on the shaft.

Note if there is a master spline that requires the wheel to be in a specific position. I think these do not have that to allow the wheel to be 'clocked' in the right position when alignment is done, but it's good practice to watch for this.
