by hbsurfdave Fri May 08, 2015 8:30 pmHi Group, I can get a rear seat that is 53" wide 22" deep and 38" high. I measured between the rear wheel wells and 53" wide seems short. Does anyone have a picture or know how wide the seat should be? They are hard to find and this guy has a nice vintage one about 30 min from my work.

mine still has the original, but i turned it sideways. the cushion at its widest point is 56".

I think that's an ideal size as it allows you to build a small cabinet over one of the wheel well. I'm in the same process and just found one that reclines but it was too large so i cut if off in the middle, took 12" off and re-welded it to be 52"wide. I made sure i could use the original anchor plates for mine.

Cool, I think I'm going to get it , the extra space on the side will allow my surfboard to hang on the wall.
