collector plates for camper vans

How can I prove my camper top conversion is era correct to qualify for collector plates in BC Canada?

Can you get a copy of the new dealer sales booklet , showing the different options ?

Is the collector plate the same as an antique plate?

Antique plate can be used on a vehicle of a certain age. Collector plate can only be used on a vehicle with proven collector value ( not just because the owner says it has collector value) sometimes the NADA book of collectable vehicles can be used to see if your van quialifys

Since you're in BC Canada you'll have to put forward your application along with the required pictures. If you use era correct materials (within one year of the build date) you should have decent chances to get it approved. I just sent my application a few weeks ago and I'm now waiting for my shinny new plates. I had previously contacted one of the person in charge of the collector status at ICBC and sent him via emails a few pictures of my van to make sure I wasn't wasting my time. He said it was fine so I went ahead with my application.
