engine oil????? use any good brand as u wiah to -you =MUST also add a bottle of zinc addative with each oil change!! That will protect the cam & lifters!! The oils today most all- dont have that addative in it!! There are a few!! FEW! that do - Valvoline Racing oil is one ! I always add that zinc anyways!!

yes, engine oil. I've read to use non-synthetic 10-40. Just not for sure and have no experience. Don't want to use a bad viscosity. and thanks! will definitely use the zinc additive.

oils for break in on new engines - should be non detergent stuff usually straight 30 wt. !! Also add the zinc stuff -if its a non-roller cam engine!! solid lifter or Hyd. lifter engines must have the zinc! Change that breakin oil (non det.) after around 100-500 miles & go with a quality detergent oil straight or multi-vis as you wish!

Mobile 1 High Mileage 10W40 has plenty of zinc in it for our old engines. I buy it at Walmart, 5-qt for $25.
