Have any of you compared quality, weight ,etc of repro handles compared to original? Trying to decide on nos, rechrome or aftermarket.

I left my old dull, worn inside and pitted outside door handles alone.  I like a little patina that shows its a 50 year old vehicle, I try not to "over-restore" a vehicle.  IMHO, the cost of re-chroming outside door handles is just not worth it to me or the look I prefer and my van is far from a 100-point type restoration, but every one has different opinions on this....The old inside handles are definitely heavier than the repros, but they don't see much force that it would matter...find some good used ones, inside or out, and there are no repro exterior ones as far as I know, and if you find some NOS ones, mucho $$$!
