Door Locks - why, that's an odd feature! Empty Door Locks - why, that's an odd feature!

My 62 E100 has a locking passenger side door, but not a locking drivers side door. I was told that this is a "safety" feature to prevent delivery personnel from getting out on the street side of the vehicle.

Anyway, I'd really like to be able to lock BOTH doors. Is it possible to replace the driver's side non-locking cylinder with a locking one?

I don't really want to have to install electric poppers just to do that.

I believe the Ford Falcon used the same tumblers and I'm pretty sure the driver's door is lockable on those cars.

    Thoughts?
