Baker's 2015

I am in the very early stages of planning for Baker's 2015. I was informed that Vanfest is June 19, 20, and 21. Therefore I would like to plan on June 28, 2015, as the date for the next Van Show at Baker's or Milford. Does anyone know of any other shows or conflicts? The only other date I could consider is June 14. Please respond ASAP with any information as to my date choice. Thanks, Billski

Yes the Ford Nationals in PA is scheduled for June 5-7, 2015. And VanFest in Alymer, Ontario is June 19-21; last time at this currnet location.

However, Most  of the Old Econoline owners who have been attending Ford Nationals since 2001 are giving strong thought to attending Vanarama #4 at the Truck Nationals on August 7-9, 2015 next year !

Cas, you doing or know of anything 'local' like eastern PA or NJ this year??

I will be hosting the Northeast Vintage Van event in New Jersey this year.

Since the Van Nats are on the weekend of July 12th,

I'll be having the Vintage Van event the next weekend's...Saturday..July 18th.
Rain date will be Sunday the 19th.

Buckeye Van Assoc in Ohio has an eVANt scheduled for June 5-7, 2015 at Trumbull County Fairgrounds.

Just to keep this topic current, Baker's 2015 is scheduled for June 28, at Baker's of Milford. Please spread the word. Let's keep this van show going strong and keep the memory of G-Man alive. Chris dedicated so much time and effort to this show I want to make him proud. There will be more to come. Thanks, Billski

Spending today going through all of the Baker's stuff I got from Teresa, G-Man's wife. Sorting through TONS of information. Mailings going out later this week asking for goodies for the Goody Bags, and for the raffle. Please spread the word about this eVANt! The success of Baker's depends on all of you. I'm already getting excited even though the Silver Billet is in storage and I haven't seen it in months. Let me know if you have any donations for the raffle or the goody bags. I've already shared with numerous Early Econoline Owners. Some of Us planning on staying at Camp Dearborn before the Meet.

Just another post to keep this topic current. I have received at least 15 boxes of goodies for the goody bags and for the raffle items and I'm expecting much more. Please pass the word that Baker's is ON and will be another great show and an even better tribute to G-Man. I know his family plans on attending once again in his honor. If you have any items to donate for a raffle, or if you would like to donate any $ to help with the event please message me. Also, I have volunteers to help with the event but I can always use more. See you all on June 28th!!!

I received 3 more boxes of goodies this week for the Baker's Raffle and/or Goodie Bags. I've also received offers of help in the way of $, assistance, or other donations from fellow vanners for the Baker's Show and I just want to say "THANK YOU" in advance. Sometimes on the day of the show things get pretty hectic and I may neglect to recognize those who have helped in any way. Please continue to pass the word. Baker's is 2 months away! And many of G-Man's family will be there as well to help and pay their respects to the great van show Chris built!

Hey fellow vanners, I just wanted to revive this post with some updates. Still receiving boxes of goodies for the goody bags and raffles. I have a couple young ladies who will be helping with registration and handing out the goody bags so I have more time to visit, admire the vans, and do some voting. Baker's is ready for us and can't wait to see how many vans we have this year - YEAR 11!!! I'm still accepting any help or donations for the show. Please pm me if you're interested. I have some of the same guys as last year who are willing to help but I can always use more. Thanks and see you in about 5 weeks!

Thanks Jim. Doing my best, with lots of help, to make Chris proud. He started this eVANt 11 years ago with only 5 vans registered. Last year over 75 (unfortunately not all had brought vans) registered. I'll keep this going as long as I am here and able.

Yes, a few updates: From talking to other vanners I'm expecting another big turnout; Some of G-Man's family plan on attending, which is great; I've received more boxes of goodies for goody bags and raffle prizes; I purchased a few additional raffle prizes; I have a promise of a few other prizes; We have a whole new design for the dash plaques (thanks Joe Madonia - they look awesome); Joe and his wife Bonnie will be there again with their whole set-up and display; I have two young ladies to help me with registration and ticket sales (so I can enjoy more of the show and mingle); I'm taking a couple days off next week to organize prizes and goody bags; I have most of the paperwork done (registration forms, etc.); and I have several guys who will help me with other show basics. The only thing I don't have as of yet are the "awards". With that said, I'm still nervous and excited. Only two week from today!

Anybody have update on road work around Bakers,or weather ??

I'm curious about the roads too. As far as the weather, it's hard to say this far out. At this moment the weather channel is saying 20% chance of rain and high of 77 degrees. I'm skeptical of this, but it sounds nice, so this is what I choose to believe
