I just bought a 67 E100 P/U. The guy replaced the stock engine with a 300 six. It has the stock three speed std tranny but it also has a big hole where the speedo drive go's. How many teeth plastic gear does it take ? It's also missing the dipstick & tube for the engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Speedometer gear help !
Welcome, fellow Mainer! Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you but wanted to say welcome. I have a parts van up here near Auburn but it has the sought after C4 tranny and I'd rather not scavenge parts off the tranny yet. Let me know if you need anything else and I'll see if it's available.

Re: Speedometer gear help !
If its the stock tranny it will take a white 21 tooth gear on the end of your speedo cable if you have the stock rear end. You should look inside the hole to insure the main drive gear is still good. They wear out in the middle. Both gears are plastic. The tranny drive gears are a nightmare to find the cable gear can be found on eBay.
