Does anyone know where I can pick up a Speedo gear for the factory 3-speed in a 4.00 rear end? I can find everything else except a 4.00.

Re: Speedometer gear
Would think that summit has all the teeth gear drive you might need. This is for a c4, right?
Not sure if you've tried this calculator -
http://www.tciauto.com/tc/speedometer-gear-calculator/
First do the tire diameter calculator, then the drive teeth of the transmission should be on the side of the tailhousing on the tranny.

Re: Speedometer gear
You can also pull it from the transmission side and count, then buy the gear from summit. If you're sure your current speedo reading is close to correct, as it will always be slightly higher or slower than actual.

Re: Speedometer gear
Check out the link on this persons add on Ebay. He sells the complete Ford speedo gear set for $21 bucks and also has a link in order to figure out which gear you need to use. I dont think there are any other gears available other than the ones in this set and dont think you will be able to get any closer than the 4:00's. You really need to dump that gear set unless you want to drag race every day,,LOL...Good time for one of our 9"ers,,, If you are close, I have them here in stock.
Here is the link to his gear set and then click onto the next link that he offers to figure it out.
