I liked those, nothing like 4 wheelin in a 64 corvette. got a quick glance of the corvairs speedo, pretty sure it looked just like the one in my 66 van.

Surprised GM wouldn't have had him say "with its 4 cyl. Engine for economy AND Optional 6 cyl. for more power for heavier payloads...." I don't think fuel ecomony was a concern or negative selling point in 1965 when gas was 17-cents a gallon! It was around 24-cents when I first got my license in 1970...then it shot to 55-cents with the first oil embargo....and we were shocked!

Whats funny is tyhe true fact since my early days as a young man 17 up= i have been called Hoss & matt (dillon) by many people. Now my wife just calls me ="Dumbass"!! Like i always tell her- That makes you -MRS. Dumbass!! Shes young & new = so ive got to excuse her!!
