I guess the first thing I need to invest in is a Michelin Man nuclear suit, and a borrow a pressure washer to rid of the rat droppings the size of the end of your thumb.Musta been useing it as a condo or penthouse.Don't think it'll be a bad project.Got a great shell to work with.Need to do a rebuild/replace on th L6.But at least this one is set up with a automatic.Just wanted to post a few to ya'll as I found it.

Thanks ya'll ! Several months ago,I could'nt find a decent van,now I have two.I did'nt need it,but there was no way I was gonna pass this one up,as straight bodied and rust free as she is.I'll tinker with this one a lil at a time.
Got the 'title' a lil bit ago.Just as luck would have it,it's one of those tow-in recovery claims deals. No real big deal, just a pain to deal with sometimes.I figured it don't eat or 'gripe',just takes up space (hmm, sounds like somebody that used to live here.Haaaa) But for under $500 bucks she's gonna stay. The motors all there, just here and there.lol But I do have a raditor though.
Digz...I reckon its a factory set up.Looks like its 43 years old.Column looks orig..But if ya look at pic #6.you'll see a tag says factory exchange transmission.Did go out during warranty?Did they even have recalls back then? I dunno.
Rip... honestly, when I first saw this van,I thought of your white Econo (wifes ? I think)Both vans look to be about the same shape.I'll keep my eyes peeled for two indicators though.
Yeah Bill...This one will probably stay Red.That way I can rub elbows with the Red Riders.Heh heh.See ya !

The van I got from Dan (gotavan) has a 2 spd in it , but somebody before has the old 3 spd linkage hooked up and its kind of a mystery shift. someday when ya get a chance id like to see more pics of that linkage, aint no hurry tho, like you this one is gonna get tinkered on a lil bit atta time, Still an excellent score, good sheet metal is worth alot.

The adreniline is flowing right now.I'm as pumped as our young vanners and happier than a pig in the summertime mudd.
It was next to an alley in old East Nashville.Once I get it all washed out and up on stands Digz I'll get them pics for ya.
Between the Laundry Basket and this Alleyvan,Ole Moe's gonna have plenty of questions for the Ole pro's in here.

I am amazed to see after 40 odd years and the chrome Chevy emblem is still on the rear door. Looks to be a true diamond in the rough and at a deal. Exclamation
